Firstsource features in 2023 Bloomberg gender-equality index
This is the second consecutive year the company has been included in the index
Mumbai, 8 February 2023 – Firstsource Solutions Limited (NSE: FSL, BSE:532809), a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM) services and an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, today announced its inclusion in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) for the second successive year. Firstsource joins 483 other companies as a member of the 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), a modified market capitalization-weighted index developed to gauge the performance of public companies dedicated to reporting gender-related data.
This reference index measures gender equality across five pillars: leadership & talent pipeline, equal pay & gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and external brand.
This recognition is a result of Firstsource’s efforts to improve gender representation, especially at senior leadership levels, create an intentionally inclusive culture within teams and promote a sense of community for underrepresented talent within the organization. We have achieved this by:
Strategic efforts to improve gender diversity in hiring across levels and provide equal access to growth & development opportunities to women.
Competitive and inclusive policies and benefits for all employees.
Building skills and capability within our teams to make them more inclusive through formal and informal learning opportunities.
Empowering WIN, our women’s affinity group, a thriving community of women Firstsourcers and their allies as a collaborative platform for sharing, support, learning, and celebration.
Bloomberg GEI is a reputed platform that helps translate our commitment towards transparent diversity data reporting into action and benchmark ourselves against the best inclusion and diversity practices and programs in the industry. Participating in this process enables us to sharpen our approach to DEI on our journey to be recognized as an employer of choice.
The 2023 GEI reaches globally to represent 45 countries and regions, including firms headquartered in Luxembourg, Ecuador, and Kuwait for the first time. Member companies represent a variety of sectors, including financials, technology, and utilities, which continue to have the highest company representation in the index from 2022.
